Using tippet rings, my lines last so much longer so I want the knot to have no chance of loosening. I make my lines at home in the kitchen, I measure the length with a metric tape measure and I try to keep everything uniform. Everything I do, I want to maximize. Accuracy, protecting the rod, ability to free a stuck fly without making a mess of the mainline.

With tippet rings, about 80% of the time, the tippet breaks at the tippet ring. That's what I want. Sometimes the fly pulls free, rarely does my knot at the fly break.

This is a brief description of my system. How, why, etc. I enjoy thinking about it, I give it a lot of thought and it works for me.

I'm trying to switch to a tablet making the site. My old laptop battery is bonded in, can't switch it out. I can't manage with a tablet yet. I want to be mobile with it and I'm realizing I need to get a new tablet or laptop. I want to un-plug but still maintain the site here.

Thank you for alerting me.
